Many people ask me about the actual cost of laser hair removal and why it is so expensive (ultimately permanently removes hair). There are many factors that effect how much you will be quoted / paying for laser hair removal, some of which are listed here:

Factors Effecting Cost:

• Which part of the body you want treated (the larger the body part the more expensive)
• Which part of your country you visit, example in central London it can be expected that there is a mark up of at least 25% on the average cost quoted for the country
• How reputable and ‘in demand’ the laser consultant is
• How strong your hairs are (the more stronger and recurring your hairs are the more treatments you will require)
• Some clinics charge per laser pulse and some charge per time when calculating their rates

How does laser hair removal work:

• Laser emits a gentle beam of light that passes to the hair follicle without harm to the surrounding skin
• Removes multiple hairs in single application
• On average it takes 4 treatments before the hair is fully removed and stops re-growth (depends on your hair and quality of hair laser removal clinic used)
• Should not hurt or be painful, just a minor stinging sensation if it is done right

How much on average will it cost?

• Please note that these are approximate average prices (per session) and will inevitably vary dependent on the factors mentioned above:
o Full Legs: £220
o Full Arms: £175
o Buttock Area: £105
o Bikini Line: £60
o Under Arm: £50
o Back: £180
o Upper Lip: £45
o Full Face: £110

Note: These are approx prices per treatment session, and normally discounts are given if you book multiple sessions.

Research Laser Clinic:

You need to do some research into the laser clinic you are thinking of using and also whether it is actually right for your skin, olive and darker skin women have increased chances of pigmentation from laser treatment so make sure you understand the risks before jumping in.
• Google the clinic and see what people say in forums
• Does the website look reputable?
• Does the clinic staff hold adequate qualifications in beauty care?
• Ask friends and family if they have ever used the clinic?
• Ask for a free consultation and see if you like the feel and trust the laser therapist

There you have it, I have as always tried to keep it brief. Just make sure you do some research after all it is your skin that you are trusting them with.

Ever used a hair tweezer and took too much off? Come on hands up, don’t be shy. I admit I’ve had my fair share of hair tweezer issues.

Hair tweezers have been and are still essential tools in a makeup bag. Most of us have used a hair tweezer to shape our eye brows, although according to some experts we have been doing it wrong. Well no more because below we have tips straight from beauty experts who use a hair tweezer as part of their job on a daily basis.

First bit of advice is to use an expert in the first instance and then once you get the desired shape use a hair tweezer to maintain the shape.

Follow these steps:

1: Imagine 3 magic lines (use ruler):

- 1st line

Line 1 - Hair Tweezer

This is roughly where the eyebrow should begin (beginning of inner eye). (If you wish for a more natural look then leave some hair past the line toward the middle)

- 2nd line

Line 2 - Hair Tweezer

To find the brow peak, take a ruler. Place on the nose tip and angle it toward the brow until you reach the peak (or the pupil of your eye)

- 3rd line

Line 3 - Hair Tweezer

To find where the brow should end simply put the ruler on the side (outer) of nose and move at angle until it reaches the out corner of the eye.

2: Hair Tweezer

Sit in front of two mirrors, one large and one magnified. This way you get detail and distance view of your brows;

Best to use a hair tweezer after bath / shower or face steam which will allow for easier hair removal;

Tweezer hair in the same direction as they grow

Tip: You will never get your two eyebrows looking identical so don’t even try it!

Professional Tip: Work on both eye brows simultaneously (tweezer 5 hairs off one then 5 off the other), this makes it easier to keep consistent brow shapes; and

Tweezer one hair at a time

There you have it your simple step by step directions to the perfect brow.
